- Continues to strengthen its portfolio of SCM and AI software through sustained R&D, with plans to accelerate global market expansion in 2024 based on procurement expertise and AI capabilities
February 22, 2024 – Emro Inc. (KOSDAQ: 058970), Korea’s leading AI-based SRM software company, announced today that it has won the Excellence Award in the IT Solutions category at the 23rd Korea Software Industry Competitiveness Awards, held on February 22 at the Samjung Hotel in Seoul.
The Korea Software Industry Competitiveness Awards is an annual event recognizing outstanding software companies that contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of Korea’s software industry. The awards are hosted by the Korea Software Industry Association (KSIA) and the Software Mutual Aid Association, and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
Award recipients are selected through a comprehensive evaluation across multiple criteria, including technological capability, market value, human resources, global competitiveness, financial performance, and contributions to emerging software industries. This year, a total of 19 companies were honored across categories such as IT solutions, IT services, system software, cloud services, and internet services.
Emro was recognized for its leadership in driving digital transformation in procurement operations by offering its proprietary SRM and AI software to more than 500 customers across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, construction, oil and chemicals, distribution, services, healthcare, finance, and the public sector. The company’s solutions have been widely adopted for their ability to improve efficiency and accuracy in enterprise procurement processes.
As growing market uncertainty continues to drive demand for data-driven and systematic supply chain management, Emro has steadily expanded its solution portfolio through ongoing R&D efforts. At CES 2024 in Las Vegas this January, the company introduced its cloud-based SRM SaaS solution, co-developed with Samsung SDS, showcasing its Auto-PO (Automated Purchase Order) functionality. Powered by AI, Auto-PO recommends optimal purchasing strategies by item and automates key procurement processes, including quotation review, contracting, ordering, and contract price compliance monitoring.
Building on its strong domestic customer base, deep domain expertise in procurement, and differentiated technological capabilities, Emro plans to accelerate its expansion into overseas markets in 2024, positioning itself as a competitive global SCM software provider.
“As the leading supply chain management software company in Korea, we are committed not only to contributing to the advancement of the domestic software industry, but also to demonstrating the strength of Korean software on the global stage by competing alongside leading international players,” said an Emro spokesperson.
